Welcome to our Sunday School and Youth Work

HSC Sunday School seeks to provide answers to those difficult questions on where we come from, what our purpose is and how we can live a truly fulfilled life.
With children growing up in a difficult and changing world, we aim to teach them the timeless lessons of the Bible and its values so that children can make informed decisions about Christianity.

Introducing our groups for children & young people

All groups meet on Sunday mornings  9.15am until 9.50am (during school term time)
Welcome to our Sunday School! Age appropriate classes with singing, prayer, Bible lessons, craft / colouring / quizzes and snacks each Sunday morning, designed to engage children of early years in the Christian faith and provide an inclusive, supportive friendship group for children growing up. We use the Mayflower curriculum which works chronologically through the Bible and the Children's Catechism and teach the children using object lessons and illustrations, to help even the youngest child learn Bible truths.

We also hold a monthly Stay and Play activity slot on a Saturday-please see the calendar below for our planned events and follow us on Facebook.
Introducing our 7-10 year group...called Foundations. Our moto is "Build upon the Rock".
Bible classes on a Sunday with activity evenings on the 2nd on 4th Friday of each month. We use the Mayflower curriculum which works chronologically through the Bible and the Children's Catechism and teach more advanced application of Bible lessons. Join us each Sunday (term time) to help your child learn the truths of the Bible and on Friday evenings for games and a tuck shop.
Pathway+ is our 11+ youth group who share Friday night activity evenings with our Foundations group. This group is all about supporting young people to form positive Christian relationships focused on friendship, learning, faith and service. Having sound biblical and topical teaching, coupled with strong, positive friendships is essential in supporting our young people as they seek to be salt and light in an increasingly hostile world. This group uses the Go Teach curriculum, as well as other materials to instruct on topical social issues and uses a discussion format for lessons.

Help your children earn attendance badges and prizes

We have fun badges and prizes to encourage children to attend Sunday School and reward them for learning Bible verses. One of the best things you can do for your children is to help them to memorise Bible verses - the Word of God. "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope". We make learning fun and enjoyable for children.
